Creative Collaborations in the work of Trisha Brown – Past Event

May 1, 2016 || 3:30pm  RSVP

Susan Rosenberg (scholar-in-residence, Trisha Brown Dance Company) explores Brown’s orchestration of collaboration—with her dancers and with visual and sound artists—as well as her important role as a curator of her own work. Emphasizing Brown’s work on the stage (1979–2012); her contributions to visual art (through drawing) and her direction of opera, this talk underscores Brown’s distinctive approach to music, to her work’s staging, as well as qualities of emotion and narrative, which emerged in the latter part of her career.
